The Stair of the Turks, or Scala dei Turchi, is a striking brilliant-white marl and limestone cliff on Sicily’s southern coast at Realmonte. Its smooth, sloping form descends towards waters that shift between turquoise and azure, creating a vivid contrast with the rock.
Along the surrounding coast, sunlit pebbly beaches alternate with secluded coves framed by white stone. The result is a varied seascape of open shoreline and more intimate seaside corners, all marked by the same bright Mediterranean light.
Located in the Free Municipal Consortium of Agrigento, the Stair of the Turks is a natural setting to experience at an unhurried pace, whether from the shore or while exploring the beaches and coves nearby.
