Based in Catania, Alpine Guides Italy organises professionally led outdoor experiences across Sicily and elsewhere in Italy. Its programme combines mountain guiding, climbing and nature activities, supported by certified UIAGM guides whose expertise places safety and technical skill at the centre of each outing.
Mount Etna is a particular focus, with guided excursions and trekking available across the volcano’s varied terrain. In winter, the company also leads ski-mountaineering experiences on Etna, while its wider climbing programme includes bouldering, rock climbing and mountaineering.
For a different perspective on Sicily’s landscapes, Alpine Guides Italy offers tandem paragliding in locations including Etna, Taormina, Palermo and the Aeolian Islands. Its adventure activities also extend to canyoning and hiking, providing several ways to explore the island’s natural environment.
The company additionally undertakes professional rope-access work, including geostructural inspections, rope-access construction and high-tree pruning.
